The President of Ghana, His Excellency Akufo-Addo has congratulated himself on how he handled the novel coronavirus crisis when it took the world by storm.
President Akufo–Addo believes through the ‘Ghana CARES Obaatan pa’ program his government initiated to lessen the economic challenges brought on Ghanaians by the virus will help ease the economic burden on Ghanaians.
He made this known during his last state of the nation address on Tuesday, January 5, 2020.
“The global pandemic of Covid-19 threatened to derail the progress chalked in the first 3 years of my administration”, he said. Even though President Akufo-Addo believes things will surely get better-assured Ghanaians that decisions taken by his government will help invigorate the economy.
“The proactive decisions taken by the government to fight the pandemic as well as revitalize the economy with 1 billion cedis Ghana CARES Obaatan Pa program offers bright prospect offers for the medium term”, he affirmed.
