Nine Members of Parliament from the Eastern Region have been given Ministerial appointment in the second term of President Nana Akufo-Addo in Office.
Out of the nine MPs, three are women, and two others who are not in Parliament have also been given Ministerial appointments.
Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, Gifty Twum Ampofo has been appointed as Deputy Minister for the Education Ministry, Abena Osei-Asare, and Member of Parliament for Atiwa East for the Finance ministry and Akuapem North constituency MP, Nana Dokua Asiamah Adjei for Trade and Industry ministry respectively.
Former MP for Mpreaso, Seth Acheampong has been nominated for the Eastern Region and Mr. Ken Ofori Atta as Finance Minister.
Member of Parliament for the New Juaben South, Micheal Okyere Baafi will go to the Trade and Industry Ministry as Deputy while Osei Bonsu Amoah has been nominated as deputy minister of Local Government and Rural Development and he joins Okere MP Mr. Dan Botwe at the ministry.
Upper West Akyem Constituency MP, Frederick Obeng Adom goes to the Transport Ministry and Ofoase/Ayirebi MP Mr. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah as Information ministries respectively.
Mr. Kwasi Amoako-Atta, Member of Parliament of the Atiwa West stays at the Roads and Highways ministry.
