President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commissioned an ultra-modern two-storey building complex for the New Juaben North municipal assembly.
The office complex, situated on the Koforidua-Akwadum road was built with the District Assemblies Common fund cost Ghc3.4 million cedis.
Speaking at the commissioning of the facility as part of his 3-day tour to the Eastern region, President Akufo-Addo commended the chiefs and people of the municipality for their support to the Assembly since its creation in 2017.
The President, however, urged Assembly members to confirm the Municipal Chief Executive nominee, Madam Comfort Asante to continue the hard work for the development of the municipality.
The Chief of Effiduase and Nifahene of New Juaben Traditional Council, Nana Okoawia Baabu II on his part sang praises on President Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party for its outstanding performance over the years.
He retreated that, the Danquah-Busia tradition performed better than the Convention People’s Party which was led by Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
The traditional leader took the opportunity to appeal to President Akufo-Addo for a dual carriage of the Koforidua-Suhum road.
The New Juaben North municipality is part of several Assemblies that were created by President Akufo-Addo led government after the signing of a legislative instrument in 2017.
