President Akufo-Addo has endorsed the potency of Ghana’s local gin “akpetshie” to compete on the international market.
Despite quitting drinking so many years ago, President Akufo-Addo during his swearing-in ceremony emphasized that the current well packaged local gin can earn international recognition if only local producers take advantage of the various government interventions.
The President also tasks the management of Ekumfi Juice Factory to produce more onto the market to compete with the many imported foreign drinks.
President Akufo-Addo has been sworn into office with his Vice, Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia at the forecourt of the Parliament House after been declared the winner of the 2020 presidential election.
