Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been sworn In as President of the Republic of Ghana and Commander-In-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, On Thursday, 7th January 2021 and he has outlined his key vision for 2021 and beyond.
According to him, the remaining fifteen percent (15%) of Ghana’s communities without electricity would be covered by the end of his second term.
Also, the President said his administration has already begun constructing hospitals in the remaining districts that do not have one – a process that will be completed within a year.
He said the percentage of Ghanaians without access to potable water is set to reduce significantly, following the commencement of work on several water supply projects across all parts of the country.
Nana Akufo-Addo said the majority of Ghanaians live in unacceptable housing, and his Government shall tackle the problem with vigor.
He said the Presidency is a task he wholeheartedly accepts and assured all Ghanaians that he will do his utmost to deliver on this mandate.
Nana Akufo-Addo said establishing a strong economy, undergoing a structural transformation to value-added activities, which will generate jobs for our young people and enhance their living standards, will be the main preoccupation of his second term.
