Rainy weather conditions in the Upper West Region capital of Wa on Tuesday, July 13 delayed the landing of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his scheduled tour of the Region.
Despite the gathering of dignitaries of the Upper West Region to welcome him, an announcement was made that he could not land because of poor weather.
This portal earlier reported that the rains fell heavily in Wa, making aerial visibility difficult.
As of 12:30pm, President Akufo-Addo was yet to touch down from his flight, which had been hovering around the airport.
But President Akufo-Addo landed after the conditions subsided.
He called on the Wa Naa, Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV, at his palace.
President Akufo-Addo is expected to be in Wa on Tuesday and Wednesday on a working visit.
