Osman Ayariga, Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), has declared that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a peaceful party that does not use violence to achieve political gain.
The party’s National Deputy Youth Organiser made the statements while campaigning in the Akwatia Constituency for the impending by-election.
Bernard Bediako Baidoo, the NDC’s candidate, would win the seat based on the party’s ideals and vision, not on intimidation or confrontation, Mr. Ayariga reassured the constituents.
“The NDC is a peaceful party. We don’t need violence to win in Akwatia. What we need is your support, your trust, and your vote,” he told supporters.
He urged young people in particular to oppose efforts to provoke them into violent acts and instead concentrate on topics like job creation, development, and improved prospects for the community.
“Let us show that politics is about ideas, not fighting. Akwatia must lead by example,” he added.
Mr. Ayariga emphasized that the NDC’s message of resetting Ghana under President John Mahama would bring about the social and economic development the constituency deserves and further urged citizens to fully engage in the voting process.
