The conversion took place on January 26, 2025, at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) in Koforidua. During a service led by Rev. Patrick Mawuli, the once-celebrated spiritualist publicly declared his decision to leave behind his idol worship and commit to the Christian faith.

Mawuli and a prayer team from ICGC accompanied Torgbui Shettor to his shrine, where they performed a ceremonial burning of his idols.
