Armed police officers have invaded the house of the General Superintendent of Saviour Church of Ghana, Opanyin Abraham Adusei at the church’s headquarters in Akyem Osiem in the Eastern region
The armed police invasion occurred Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at about 5:30 am.
Fortunately, Opanyin Abraham Adusei had travelled to Afram Plains to visit his commercial farms but other occupants were present in the house.
The armed police personnel numbering about 20 ransacked the rooms and threw away some movable items.
Occupants of the house alleged that the team took away some unspecified amount of monies and other items.
Angry members of the church and residents of the community thronged the house to protest the action of the police forcing them to retreat from the house.
The mob allegedly attacked the police and smashed the police vehicle.
It is not clear why the police invaded the house but sources say they were enforcing a court order.
However, the agitating residents suspect political motivation with the tacit support of the government to intimidate General Superintendent Opanyin Abraham Adusei.
Many more members of the church are trooping to the house of their leader.
