The Queen mother of Akyem Osiem in the Abuakwa north municipality, Obaapanin Nana Akosua Atwomaa I organized a party for the youth to mark the beginning of the New Year at Akyem Osiem and has advised them to be at peace with each other.
In her speech, the traditional leader emphasized that unity brings development and that; she has also called on the Inspector-General of Police to make the laws work irrespective of any person.
“I’m happy that today I have organized this event for all my people. I am begging all of us to embrace peace and unity among ourselves and abstain from all bad behaviors”.
I’m also calling on the IGP, Mr. Akuffo Dampare, and the Okyehene Osagyefo Amotia Ofori Panin to help make the laws work at Osiem” Obaapanin Nana Akosua Atwomaa I.
Obaapanin Nana Akosua Atwomaa I added, “My chief who is Osabarima Kwaku Opoku III died in 2016 and we are still in court over who becomes our chief, therefore, I am appealing to them to make the laws work to bring peace and unity among my people”.
The event which started on early Monday morning 3rd January 2022 with a float through the principal streets of Akyem Osiem ended in the evening with eating and dancing among the youths.
