The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, has sworn in Mohammed Baba Jamal Ahmed as the Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso East Constituency.

At the start of today’s parliamentary sitting, the Speaker led Hon. Baba Jamal to take the Oath of Office and Oath of Allegiance, after which he was officially ushered to his seat as the representative of the people of Ayawaso East in Parliament.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, the Speaker presented the newly sworn-in MP with copies of the 1992 Constitution and the Standing Orders of Parliament, describing them as essential tools to guide his work as a legislator.
Rt. Hon. Bagbin also urged Hon. Baba Jamal to remain accountable to the people of Ayawaso East. He added that he would personally observe his contributions on the floor of Parliament to assess his performance in serving his constituents.

Leaders from both sides of the House took turns to welcome Hon. Baba Jamal and encouraged him to work diligently in the interest of his constituents and the nation.
