Michael Okyere Baafi, the Member of Parliament for New Juaben South Constituency in the Eastern Region has eulogized Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin’s performance as unprecedented.
The former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zone Authority is in his second term as Member of Parliament for his constituency.
Baafi previously worked under Alban Bagbin as Speaker of Parliament during Nana Akufo Addo’s tenure before he was endorsed to continue his reign under current president John Mahama.
Speaking to Koforidua-based Bryt FM, Baafi highlighted Alban Bagbin’s achievement, saying his performance in the history of Ghana politics is unprecedented.
“In the history of Ghana politics, Bagbin is the only speaker to have made our work as parliamentarians attractive. He is done an unprecedented job. We will support him”
“Although we have issues with him but when it comes to the welfare of MP’s, no one come close to him. He is being MP before and knows what’s best for MP’s regardless of party affiliation”
“He is the only speaker I have worked with him but other senior MP’s are saying same. His interest is to see the well-being of MP’s. I have to commend him for such marvelous performance” he said.
