Ghana defender Alexander Djiku and Fenerbache have advanced to the next stage of the UEFA Champions League qualifiers after edging out Lugano in round two.
The Turkish outfit triumphed over Lugano in both legs to secure qualification to the third round of qualifiers.
In the first leg played at Stockholm Arena, Fenerbache inflicted a 4-3 win over Lugano before their 2-1 home win on Tuesday evening.
Djiku lasted the entire duration when his outfit came from behind to snatch a 2-1 over their opponent.
This means Fenerbache have edged out the Swiss outfit 6-4 on aggregate to advance to the next stage.
In a crucial second leg, Lugano opened the scoring after just seven minutes into the game through Hadj Mahmoud. The visitors went to the halftime break with the advantage.
In a spirited performance, Fenerbache staged a comeback to snatch an all-important win in the game.
Experienced forward Edin Dzeko pulled one back for the home team in the 59th minute before Sebastian Szymanski fired home the match-winner three minutes into the additional time.
