NPP National Vice Chairman, Alhaji Massawudu, has revealed that the party has officially completed amendments to its constitution following extensive consultations with party elders, lawyers, and key stakeholders.
He noted that the National Delegates Conference, held recently at the University of Ghana, Legon, reviewed and approved the amendments. “The delegates accepted the few changes we proposed,” he said.
According to him, the review process began under the leadership of National Chairman Stephen Ntim and the Regional Secretary, Justice Frimpong Kodua. He explained that party leaders met and agreed that certain portions of the constitution required minor changes to strengthen internal structures and provide opportunities for members who contribute to the party.
Alhaji Massawudu stated that after the initial discussions, the proposals were forwarded to the Steering Committee and later sent to the National Council for consideration. The Council then approved the recommendations and referred them to the National Delegates Conference — the highest decision-making body of the party.
He made the announcement on Bryt Adekyee Mu Nsem during an interview on Wednesday.
