A total of forty (40) suspected coronavirus cases have been reported and tested in Ghana with all the results tested negative for COVID-19.
This was disclosed when the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has today Wednesday, March 4, 2020, visited the Kotoka International Airport, the Tema General Hospital, and the Greater Accra Regional Hospital to assess the measures put in place by the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders to deal with the Coronavirus disease.
At the Kotoka International Airport, all passengers are screened using thermal scanning devices at the airport, and passengers are also required to fill a health declaration form.
A holding room at the airport, which is to be utilized to hold suspected COVID-19 cases, has been established.
The Tema General Hospital and Greater Accra Regional Hospitals, together with others, have been designated as treatment isolation centers.
