All 12 coronavirus patients in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region have recovered.
Ninety-Seven (97) more persons tested positive for coronavirus Saturday, May 16, 2020, in Ghana increasing the national tally to 5,735. One more death was also recorded marginally increasing the death toll to 29 while recoveries have jumped significantly to 1,754.
The 12 patients are part of the latest recoveries recorded.
They were given a heroic welcome Sunday by the Parliamentary candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party Paul Asare Ansah.
They were each given a white fowl, two crates of eggs, a bag of rice, and cash at a rousing welcome ceremony at Apeguso.
The Eastern region has recorded 99 positive cases of coronavirus. About 90 of the cases were recorded among construction workers at Lower Manya Krobo and Asuogyaman districts.
