Ghana’s COVID -19 case counts has jumped from 10,201 to 10358, according to Ghana Health Service Report from 12th March to 8th June with a 38-year-old ambulance driver who transported a patient to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
The case is a 38-year-old ambulance driver who transported a patient to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital on the 21st of May and that is the 1st Confirmed COVID-19 Case in Ahafo Region.
The patient was later confirmed as a COVID-19 case on 25th May.
Nineteen staff that came into contact with the patient together the ambulance driver was contacted and tested. He was placed under self-quarantine and the second test at the end of the process has come as positive.
He is currently at Goaso Hospital, stable and asymptomatic. The other health staff has tested negative in both their first and second testing.
As of 8th June 2020, Recovery cases released by GHS on Wednesday, 10th June stand at 3,824 with 48 deaths.
Ten others are in critical Condition while 14 are also in severe condition.
