The Ghana Red Cross Society has complained about instances where the Ambulance Service try to overtake them in administering their services to victims
According to the entity, it is normally attributed to the availability of the necessary materials and gadgets which the Ambulance Service have as compared to the Red Cross.
Commenting on the incidence in Parliament where the bodyguard of President Akufo-Addo collapsed during the delivery of the state of the nation address last week, Mr. Emmanuel Amanor of the Eastern region Red Cross said, the incident could have been handed professionally if they were given the opportunity.
Mr. Amanor blamed the Ambulance Service of not allowing them act when the incidence occurred, hence the unprofessional handling of the officer in Parliament which has created a lot of controversies in the public space.
He, however, urged the leadership of Parliament to consider allowing the Red Cross members into the chamber in order to respond swiftly to such cases at the right time.
He also, called on the public, churches and cooperate bodies to invite it members to their various events as every fifty persons gathered needs the services of the Red Cross whenever there is a gathering.
Mr. Emmanuel Amanor disclosed this on Bryt fm Adekyee Mu Nsem on Monday with Kwamina Sam Biney.
