Social media platforms are awash with anger-filled NDC members who have described the decision by Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo to lead Kwame Zu to apologize to Okyehene as treacherous.
Expressing their exasperation, these angry youth have taken to Facebook to lambast their National Chairman for placing his tribe over the overall interest of the party.
One Sabtiya Mbappe Abubakar in his Facebook post said; ‘The Chairman chose his tribe over NDC. We can’t go on with him as our Chairman going into the 2020 election. His loyalty is deeply compromised’ the post reads.
Other members of the party were less charitable in their descriptions of how Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has stabbed them in the back.

She went on to question the Christian ethics in Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, stating he is a disgrace to the Church of Pentecost.
These angry outbursts are the culmination of a high-powered delegation led by the National Chairman of the party, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, to apologize to Okyehene and his subjects over the derogatory comments made by Kwame Zu, the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the party in a botched demonstration the party organized in Kumasi.
The ‘charged’ Kwame Zu asserted that but for the benevolent nature of John Mahama, the Okyehene and his subjects would still compete with cattle and other farm animals for water to drink.
Kwame Zu disparagingly emphasized that Okyehene and his subjects were being ungrateful to Mahama for saving them from the practice of drinking water from the same wells with animals.
Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin and his traditional council consequently barred the NDC from engaging in any political activities within the zone unless they render an unqualified apology to Nananom and the people of Akyem Abuakwa and its environs.
This directive did not meet the happy agreement of the members of the opposition party who have taken to social media and called the bluff of the Okyehene and his people.
It is believed that the apology was precipitated by the upcoming festival of the chiefs and people of the Akyem Abuakwa traditional area which, quite often, assembles political party leaders who pay homage during the occasion.
To avoid a situation where the NDC would not be present at the festival, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo thought it prudent to embark on this journey, though with obvious reluctance.
