As part of the Government’s evacuation of Ghanaian nationals from Sudan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration wishes to inform the public that one evacuee arrived in Accra from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Friday, 5th May, 2023, and additional six (6) nationals also arrived safely in Accra from Cairo, Egypt on Saturday 6th May, 2023.
One more female student also arrived in Accra from Addis Ababa on Sunday 7th May, 2023.
Additionally, three (3) Ghanaian footballers also arrived in Ethiopia on Sunday, 7th May, 2023 where arrangements are in place to fly them to Ghana.
The evacuation has become necessary due to current political instability in the African country.
