Two fatal accidents have occurred at the same Teacher-Mante stretch of the Accra to Kumasi Highways where three died while 31 others sustained injuries on Saturday dawn.
One person died in the latter accidents while at least three persons were critically wounded.
The deceased was a Truck driver who veered off the road to avoid a head-on collision with a private vehicle that made wrong overtaking.
“Around 5:30pm There is a long vehicle fully loaded from Accra to Kumasi. There was a car that was overtaking. So as it met the car, the driver of the truck with registration number GT 2769K – A has to veer off the road and got hit at the roadside. The driver died instantly but the mate got injured and we have sent him to Nsawan Government hospital.” a witness told mybrytfmonline.com.
