Four persons have died while over a dozen passengers are injured in another gory accident.
The accident occurred Sunday at Benkyease in Amenfi Central Municipality of the Western North Region.
The vehicle involved was a Stannic Bus with registration number GR 6162-20 onboard with passengers from Enchi to Kumasi.
An eyewitness told Kwame Kontor Boateng a reporter with Bryt FM sister station Lord Fm that “We were at the roadside when we saw the Car burst a tyre descending so the driver applied the brakes which the car somersaulted. The passengers were ejected by the impact which the car fell on the head of a woman. Four persons are dead.”
The Assemblyman for Kwaku Boah electoral area, Stephen Yaw Krah said “I’m horrified looking at the people who are dead and injured. A woman head has been crushed three others with different fracture injuries. This is sad. The drivers should be very careful this election year”
The 4 passengers who passed away have been sent to the mortuary at Bibiani whiles the injured are receiving treatment at Greenshild Hospital.
Ghana has recorded many deadly accidents in recent times reigniting concerns over safety on roads in the country.
