The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said that it would no longer allow anyone to undertake any kind of campaign for Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten and his organization, nor will it “accept as a member.”
On Ghana Montie’s morning program on NEAT FM, the party’s general secretary made it clear that such individuals are “automatically barred” from the “Elephant” party per the party’s constitution.
“Any member who declares his/her support for another political party or an independent candidate automatically forfeits his/her membership,” Lawyer Justin Koduah read a portion of the NPP’s body of law to justify his comments.
After the first round of the party’s flagbearership election, Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten criticized the NPP for treating him unfairly. He later left the party to start a “movement” to run for president on December 7.
To assure the realization of his aim of becoming Ghana’s president, he did, however, get a large number of devoted NPP members join his campaign.
Now that their future in the NPP is known, those people are no longer associated with the “Elephant” party.
