A mobile money vendor has been attacked by armed robbers at Abesim in Sunyani East Municipality in Bono Region.
The robbers absconded with GH¢5,800.00.
The incident happened at Dr. Berko, a suburb of Sunyani -Abesim, around 5:30am on Monday, June 21, 2021.
According to Collins Agyemang, 30-year-old Agent of Cogyeo Money Transfer said the robber invaded the shop and at the knife, point took the bag that contained an amount of GH€5,800.
Shortly another robber ” who was standing outside the container joined, they removed a knife and a well-sharpened machete as they begin to slash his left hand and also hit me with a hammer till he fell”.
He said the robbers bolted away.
Mr. Collins was rushed to the Dr. Berko Hospital for treatment.
Police are on the manhunt for the suspects.
