Arsenal star Thomas Partey is expected to miss the side Premier League games against Chelsea and Manchester City due to injury.
The enterprising Ghanaian midfielder is currently nursing an ankle injury he sustained during the side pre-season game against Chelsea.
According to the club, the deputy captain of the Black Stars is expected to spend three weeks on the sidelines; however, he will miss crucial games against Chelsea and Manchester City.
“Thomas sustained an injury to ligaments in his right ankle during the friendly match against Chelsea last Sunday. Thomas continues to be assessed and is expected to be back in training in approximately three weeks.” the club disclosed.
Partey missed 17 games during his debut season last term with various injury woes after joining from the Spanish side Atletico Madrid.
He featured 33 times in all competitions for the club despite being plagued by injuries.
The Gunners open their Premier League campaign against Brentford next Friday before clashes with Chelsea and Manchester City later in August.
