English Premier League outfit Arsenal could sign Inter Milan’s Achraf Hakimi over Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey as replacement for Hector Bellerin who is set to leave the club, transfer expect Fabrizio Romano has revealed.
The English-born Ghanaian was outstanding for his outfit before injury ruled him out of the season. He became a subject of interest for several clubs in Europe including Bayern Munich and Arsenal.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Hector Bellerin would end his ten year spell with the Gunners at the end of the campaign and has revealed the club will consider signing Hakimi and not Lamptey.
He added the Gunners are yet to make an approach for Hakimi and do not see Lamptey as a priority signing for the club.
“Arsenal will sign a new RB but have never opened official talks for Hakimi as of today,” Romano tweeted.

“Lamptey is not on top of the list. Bellerin’s gonna leave the club.”
Hakimi poured cold water over a possible Inter exit earlier this week when he revealed he wants to stay at the club for “a long time”.
“The team that attracted me the most was Inter and I saw it as a growth project,” Hakimi told La Repubblica.
“I am honoured to be one of the testimonials for the new club logo. I like it, as it looks to the future, a future we can build together.”
