David Ocloo has relinquished his role as the assistant of Ghana Premier League powerhouse, Asante Kotoko.
The former Liberty Professionals tactician left his role before the Super Clash against Hearts of Oak, where Kotoko emerged victorious. Meanwhile, reasons for his resignation is yet to be known.
Ocloo had rejoined Kotoko before the start of the 2023/24 season, serving as an assistant to head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum. This was after he had already been part of the coaching staff during the 2021/22 season, where Kotoko won the Ghana Premier League title.
Despite his absence, Asante Kotoko secured a dramatic 1-0 win over Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Striker Albert Amoah emerged as the hero after scoring a stoppage gap goal to snatch maximum points.
The win has lift Kotoko to 6th position with 21 points, and they will next face Dreams FC in the Matchday 14 fixture at the Tuba AstroTurf.
