Former Black Stars B skipper, Isaac Twum has expressed optimism about Kotoko making a huge impact in Africa under Maxwell Konadu.
Twum, who played under the Kotoko trainer during the 2017 WAFU Cup says he knows his capabilities and has affirmed that if the players will go by his instructions they can go far in the competition.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko has been selected to represent Ghana in the 2020/2021 CAF Champions League season after the cancellation of the season due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.
The former Inter Allies captain in an interview with Koforidua based Bryt FM rallied support for the porcupine warriors prior to their Africa campaign in the quest to win back Ghana’s slot.
“Kotoko was doing well before the season was annulled. I have worked with Maxwell Konadu and I know what he is capable of doing. So if the players will listen to his game plan then I think Kotoko can go far in Africa this time around”
He continued that, “I will also plead with other clubs in the country to support our representatives in Africa rather than sabotaging them because they are not going in the name of Kotoko or Ashantigold but rather, they are representing the entire country”
“If we support them and they are able to make an impact I believe we can get our missing slots back. I’m certain about Kotoko making impact in Africa” he concluded.
