Inter Allies gaffer, Tony Lokko has tipped Kumasi Asante Kotoko to make a positive impact in the upcoming CAF inter-club competition.
Kotoko and Ashgold have agreed to participate in the 2020/2021 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively and according to the trainer, he sees Asante Kotoko raising the flag of the country high as to compare to their regional rival.
In an interview with Koforidua based Bryt FM, he said, “Winning back our lost slots is about performance so if both clubs are able to do well we can win it back. Looking at the situation, they have not even started training and the competition will begin next month so I think it’s a very dicey period for both teams”
“I believe Kotoko are putting a lot of things in their good ways and I believe they are a little bit professional in what they are doing as compared to Ashantigold”
“I pray that they will put it into practice and at least they will win our slot for us”
“I believe Kotoko can make a good impact than Ashgold based on the recruitment they are doing. They have a good coach, putting in place which players they have to buy to augment the team. Konadu is also a good and experienced coach as well so I believe they can do something better to keep the name of Ghana football flying” he said.
