Martin Kpebu, a private lawyer, has emphasised that Ghanaian politicians are to be blamed for the country’s lack of growth.
He indicated that the late former President John Evans Atta Mills is the only “correct” leader Ghana has ever had because he always place the needs of the nation above his own personal interest.
Kpebu has branded the surviving Ghanaian politicians as crooks who are solely concerned with benefiting themselves in an interview with Accra based Asempa FM.
“Politicians are usually crooks, bad boys and girls. NDC, NPP, all of them are crooks. Apart from Atta Mills who did not steal from us, the rest are crooks . . . Atta Mills was an honest man, the rest have been dribbled with corruption”.
“We must have a special session on politicians and profile them, otherwise they would keep deceiving Ghanaians, these are crooks.
“ You would be there and your classmate who is not even doing well like you are, gets a position and all of a sudden, he builds a mansion. These guys are causing us headaches,” he said in Twi.
He further stated that if Ghanaians do not speak up about how they have been robbing the nation, politicians will bring Ghana to its demise.
He said that the sums of money allegedly discovered in Cecilia Dapaah’s house and bank accounts, who served as the country’s previous minister of sanitation and water resources, demonstrate the sort of chaos that politicians are wreaking on the nation.
The private legal practitioner continued by saying that if the houses and bank accounts of Ghanaian leaders were searched, the money that was found would be sufficient to completely alter the country.
