The General Secretary of the opposition NDC Johnson Asiedu Nketia on Saturday joined the Member of Parliament for Kwahu Afram Plains North Betty Krosby to commission a CHPS Zone in Abotanso Community, one of the hinterlands in the area.
The CHP Compound which comprises six 6 bed capacity, two nurses and midwives accommodation rooms, delivery/ maternity side will serve over five thousand 5000 residents who hitherto, struggled to access healthcare due to lack of health facility.
“This will therefore help to improve their living conditions with healthy lifestyles. The hectic long distance to Dokorkrom to seeking medical care will be resolved” The MP said.
According to the MP, Betty Krosby, the CHP Zone was initiated by John Mahama’s government but was abandoned by the current government forcing her to use part of her common fund to complete it.
The NDC’s General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketiah who was on a Campaign tour in the area stated categorically that the only party that brings development to all is NDC, hence rallied supports of the community to “Vote massively for John Mahama and Prof Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang NDC without fear or intimation from Nana Addo sent security vigilantes in military uniforms”.
He highlighted the people’s manifesto policies particularly on free primary health policies dubbed “Mahama Care” stating that it is going to be the biggest social intervention ever in the history of Ghana that will provide healthcare for all Ghanaians.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia otherwise known as General Mosquito had earlier on Friday donated Gh 1500 to help complete their water project in Adambra community. The Eastern Regional Treasurer Alhaji Kwakwa also added GHS1500.
