The Member of Parliament for Suhum Constituency, Frederick Opare Ansah has expressed worry about low turnout during the District Assembly elections, saying they may not see 30% turnout.
According to him, many of the Ghanaian populace is not aware of the elections and that, attributing the low patronage to it.
Again, he emphasized that turnout was very low because the district assembly election is nonpartisan.
According to him, since the referendum was halted, many people think the District Assembly electioneering process has been can cancel.
He said Ghanaians are mostly keen on presidential and parliamentary general election more than the district level election.
He has therefore called on Ghanaians to exercise their vote whenever there are Assembly elections, as he believes they can bring development to their doorsteps and the area as a whole.
