The Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman, Thomas Ampem Nyarko, has passed out nine (9) newly trained and licensed drivers sponsored through Thomas Ampem Nyarko Skill Development and Youth Empowerment Program (TANSDYEP).
The MP sponsored their training and secured driver’s licenses for them.
The move is part of a variety of skill development initiatives of the MP to help curb the unemployment rate among the youth.
Hundreds of youth have acquired hairdressing, dressmaking, and soap making among other skills training since was TANSDYEP initiated.
The beneficiaries have been given startup equipment such as sewing and hair dryers machines and are doing well.
The MP for Asuogyaman, Thomas Ampem Nyarko says the program is meeting its target of economically empowering the youth of the constituency.
