Ghanaian talent Edmund Baidoo is set to join Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg in the ongoing transfer window.
RB Salzburg have agreed a deal to secure the services of the promising Ghanaian forward from Norwegian side Sogndal Fotball.
The 18-year-old highly-rated will sign a long-term contract with Salzburg for a transfer fee of 3.3 million Euros, with an additional 1.2 million Euros add-ons.
Baidoo emerged as a transfer target for two clubs in the Premier League due to his swashbuckling performance on Norway.
However, the Ghanaian midfielder has opted to join Austrian club as the ideal next step in his career.
Salzburg are known for developing talent and this will serve as a good grounds for the Ghanaian to develop as seeks to attain greater heights of his career.
A chunk of Ghanaian players including Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Gideon Mensah, David Atanga, Majeed Ashimeru and others had stint with Salzburg before rising to become top players.
Baidoo joined Sogndal in March 2024 from Ghanaian third-tier side AsanSka Football Club and has quickly impressed the club.
He has contributed to 10 goals in 18 starts in the Norwegian First Division this season, with five goals and assists in three cup games.
