Ghanaian rapper, Edem has ardently stated that winning awards doesn’t cure hunger but money does, and for that matter will always choose money over awards anytime, any day.
His reaction comes after social media users lambasted musicians in the country for not penetrating the global music scene and also win awards on big stages such as the Grammys unlike Nigeria’s Burna Boy and Wizkid won big at the event.
Edem took to Twitter and wrote that he’s more concerned about everybody in the food chain getting the bag first.
The ‘VRMG Boss’ noted that if the hunger side is not taken care of, then no level of award can cure the hunger.
“I am more concerned about everybody in the food chain getting the bag first..If that’s not sorted, no award go cure the hunger” he tweeted.
