Kyidomhene of the Awutu Traditional Area and also the Chief of Awutu Okwabena near Awutu Bawjiase, Nai Ampim Darkoh Tetteh has urged Youths in Awutu land who will be trooping to Awutu Beraku to witness this years Awutu Awubia Festival to be more proactive to near Nananom to acquire the knowledge of the culture and traditions of land than just come, enjoy and go.
According to him, the whites seem to be portraying their culture nowadays and have been embraced by our upcoming Youths which if care is not taken, the rich culture and traditions of the land will one day vanish.
Speaking to Bryt Fm News correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah during the Mini Celebration of the Awutu Awubia Festival in Awutu Okwabena community, Nai Ampim Darkoh Tetteh revealed that it’s about time the Youths embrace the traditions of their land to enable them succeed leaders when they are no more.
Meanwhile, Queenmother of the Awutu Okwabena/Mankomeda Community, Naakye Larley Dee has also urged parents to consider priotising the Education and well-being of their children especially the ladies to help reduce teenage pregnancy in the Awutu Senya West District and central region as a whole.
