The Member of Parliament for Ayensuano Teddy Safori Addi has sponsored the training of 80 constituents in various vocational skills as part of economic empowerment intervention.
The beneficiaries -both males and females were trained in catering, IT and Installation, soap and detergent production, and cake making among others.
The beneficiaries will be supported financially to set up their businesses.
The MP believes this will help provide diversity in livelihood aside from farming and create employment opportunities.
The MP told Bryt FM during the graduation of the beneficiaries, “This is the first 80 graduates from our skill training program. They have successfully gone through a three (3) day skill vocational training in baking and catering, IT and installation development, soaps and detergent production, etc.
It is lifelong learning skills that enable our young folks to be resilient and adaptive in an ever-changing labor market. We plan to assist with financial support to enable them with start-up capital and eventually expand to train more constituents”.
The beneficiaries were excited. They commended the MP for the intervention.
They assured to also train others to help impart the skill to many more residents.
