The Emergency Unit in charge of Sampa Government Hospital in the Jaman North District of the Bono region Mr. Issah sumaila has called on family members to provide the needed aid and assistance to the aged and diseased persons in the family to reduce Brought In Dead (BID) Cases in the various hospitals.
Speaking on GIFTS FM morning Show chaired by Kwaku Mensah Abrampa, Mr. Issah Sumaila denoted that the human body system gradually weakens as we grow and so it needs a support system which include a support from family members to ensure the aged and sick ones are well taken care of to avoid increase rate of mortality within the country.
He charged family members not to look unconcern on the health conditions of their aged relatives but must make sure they are consistently taken to routine health checkup for a healthy and sustainable health condition stressing that not paying attention to the condition of the aged and sick members in our family will continue to breed Brought In Dead (BID) or dead on arrival cases.
He again cautioned the male youths to stay away from the excessive intake of alcohol and addiction to hard drugs for sexual activities.
He charge the male youths to desist from resorting to hard drugs and alcohol for sexual activities with their sex partners stressing that addiction to alcoholism and drugs affect the Liver, lungs, heart and most vital part of the body which subsequently result in sudden death and other chronic diseases like stroke and the likes.
