CEO of the Ghana Youth Authority Malik Basintale honored an invitation by the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sanitation and water to brief them on the Agency’s sanitation model and his forward-looking vision for ammendment of the model.
In a constructive engagement with the committee, Mr. Basintale outlined plans to strengthen YEA’s sanitation module, enhance community impact, and create more sustainable jobs for the youth across the country and stated that plans were far advanced towards the rebranding and repositioning of the entire model.
Mr. Malik Basintale reiterated his stance of not going into any agreement with any company that pays below the minimum wage and further clarified that he shall stand for the interest of Ghanaians at all times in ensuring the right thing is done and no one is cheated.
The committee commended the Agency’s ongoing efforts and expressed support for the CEO’s renewed vision.
