The Office of the Vice President, Alhaji Dr.Mahamudu Bawumia has donated 100 bulls to Muslim in Northern, Greater Accra, Eastern and Ashanti Region as Eid al-Adha gift.
Eastern Region Received 40, Ashanti had 20,Tamale 20 and Greater Accra 20 bulls respectively.
Speaking to Muslims in Asamankese, who received 10 bulls, Operations Director at the Vice President’s office, Alhaji Sumaila said the donation was supported by Muslims World League in Saudi Arabia, friends and supporters of Alhaji Dr.Mahamudu Bawumia as part of Eid Sacrifice Project.
He said apart from Muslims in Asamankese, others in Akyem Oda received 15 bulls, Kwahu West Muslims got 10, Muslims in Asawase of the Ashanti Region had 20.
Alhaji Sumaila said Muslims in Tamale were not left out, and they got 20 bulls while Ayawaso North and East in Greater Accra also got 20 bulls.
The operations director expressed gratitude to the vice president and Muslim World League for their prompt responses and called on beneficiaries to continue to pray for the President and his Vice to lobby other items for all Ghanaians.
The West Akyem Municipal Chief executive, Mr Seth Oduro Boadu, Lower West Akyem Constituency Parliamentary Candidate, Charles Acheampong and Constituency Executives who received the bulls on behalf of the Muslims described the donation as unprecedented and thanked the vice president and his partners for their kind gesture.
