Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh commonly known as Napo has defended Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s leadership, describing the him as decisive and resilient.
Speaking on Oyerepa Radio, he affirmed that Dr. Bawumia’s decision to select him as his running mate faced opposition from some quarters, but he praised him for standing firm in his choice.
“The future is very bright, and it is even brighter under Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. I know that electing me as his running mate was not liked by many, and that is why some are against him,” Napo said.
He emphasized that Dr. Bawumia is not easily swayed by public opinion and carefully considers the implications of his decisions.
“But he stood his ground and maintained his decision. Bawumia is not a weak person as some perceive; when he decides to do something, he considers the implications, the merits, and the demerits. And if he decides, he acts on it,” Dr. Prempeh explained.
He added that his appointment reflects Dr. Bawumia’s grounded leadership and sound judgment.
“If not for the fact that he is a grounded person, I would not have been elected by him to be his running mate,” he concluded.
