Regional Organizer for National Democratic Congress (NDC) Anthony Nukpenu has fired some shots at the Vice President of Ghana, His Excellency Mahamudu Bawumia concerning his speech on International Youth Day.
Mr. Nukpenu in an interview with Abena Pokuaa Ahwenee on Dadi FM 101.1, ridiculed the achievements Bawumia claims NPP has accomplished.
“The NPP should rather focus on creating permanent jobs for the youth, so they build their future”, he said.
According to the Vice President, Mr. John Mahama is fond of issuing empty promises to the youth of Ghana, by creating more jobs for them when being elected as President again come December 7, which he (Dr. Bawumia) believes is unfair and that Mr. Mahama couldn’t create jobs when he was President.
However, Anthony Nukpenu has also reacted to Bawumia that he is not serious if he thinks his government has provided jobs for the youth.
According to him, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has offered nothing to the youth like Former president Mahama has done for the youth.
The NAPCO, he added isn’t even a good reason for NPP to boast because the NPP has killed the real sector with this initiative.
NAPCO grants youth’s temporary jobs where they are paid monthly to help them sustain their financial needs until they land on permanent jobs.
Mr. Nukpenu added that the NDC government is more concerned with growing real sectors so the youth can have permanent jobs and not temporary ones.
Pointing out that if the NPP wanted to create jobs they could have continued the unfinished hospitals that the NDC started.
He concluded that Bawumia is not serious and doesn’t know what quantitative analysis is since he couldn’t point out what NPP has done.
