The Eastern Regional Chairman of hotelier’s Association, Dr Frank Onyinka Sefa has urged hospitality industries to be more hygienic as the country battles with coronavirus.
During an interview with a Koforidua based-radio station, Dr Sefa indicated that one can easily attract with the virus through the sharing of items such as drinking glasses, cups, eating utensils, towels with other people who have been infected with the virus hence they should wash their hands thoroughly and also sanitize them.
“Hospitality industries should provide sanitizers for their guests before giving them access to their facilities in order to protect them against the deadly coronavirus”. He stated emphatically.
According to him, hotels should ensure that all facilities such as water closets, telephone showers, doorknobs, beds and among others are well clean after being used by others.
He added that one should avoid touching of surfaces include counters, tabletops, doorknobs, bathroom fixtures, toilets, phones, keyboards, tablets whenever they visit a logistic place. Soap and water should be used preferentially if hands are visibly dirty.
Dr Frank Onyinka Sefa however, advised that hospitality industries are to protect themselves by wearing gloves, nose masks whenever they are cleaning.
