The West Municipal Director of Education in the Eastern Region, Mrs Eunice Ampfo – Akonnor has charged students who graduated recently from Junior High School to be part of building blocks of the family and Society as they prepare to enter Senior High School in 2023.
She said this can only be achieved if students reason differently and see themselves as part of the building blocks by inculcating Patriotism into their lives.
Mrs Eunice Ampfo-Akonnor said this in a speech as a special guest of honour during 15th Graduation Ceremony at Golden Child Complex School in Asamankese under the theme: “Securing the Child’s Future Through Education”.
She noted that Education without good moral and Goodlines produces cleaver devil and called on students to count themselves among those who have vision in life and be careful of people they will be choosing as friends in the Senior High School.
The Director urged graduands to be good stewards of the values inculcated in them to make them achievers and not liabilities as enshrined in the School’s Vision Statement and return to the School as Successful old Student.
A speech read by Mr. Evans Sekyi on behalf of the headmaster said the institution had committed to training young people to become responsible adults through their deeds, words, actions, and inactions.
He said a total of 75 Students graduated in 2022, and the School was established in the year 2000 and now it is the best in the Municipality and have included boarding facilities for effective teaching and learning.
He called on parents to pay school fees on time to enable the School authority to pay teachers and supply teaching and learning materials, adding most students who does not patronize the school transport have been reporting late to school.
