New Juaben South Municipal Director of Education Mustapha Haruna Appiah says he is impressed with the smooth and peaceful conduct of the BECE examination on the first.
According to the Director,out of the total number of 2,488 candidates expected to write the exams, only two candidates were absent due to a medical condition of one female absentees from Apempoa JHS and another male student from Victory Land Preparatory School who has quitted school long time after he was registered.
He said out of the total candidates, 1,166 are boys and 1,322 are girls.
“This year no pregnancy issue has been recorded so far in the first day of the examination” the director said.
He encouraged the candidates to comport themselves and refrain from examination malpractices.
The New Juaben South Education Director said this when he visited 4 Examination Centres in the Municipality to monitor happenings in the various centres.
Mrs. Vida Nkansah Kyeremateng Regional Manager for Presbyterian Schools also advised parents to assist their children by providing all their needs during this period of the examination to help them psychologically and have peace of mind to write the exams.
