Hearts of Oak midfield enforcer Benjamin has signed a three-year contract extension with the club after a marathon of talks with his representatives for the past months.
The 24-year-old contract with the Phobians elapsed this season and was tipped to exit the club but after a fruitful negotiation, he extended his deal keeping him until 2023.
According to a source close to the club, the former Karela United man has finally acceded to the demands of his current employers thereby extending his stay with them for the next three football seasons in the domestic top-flight.
Afutu’s contract extension will serve as a morale booster for coach Kosta Papic as he is set to play a big role in his setup for the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
He has so far played 5 league games, scoring 2 goals for the rainbow boys in the elite division league campaign.
