The Member of Parliament for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency Lawyer Alfred Obeng-Boateng, has directed his manager to put on hold all projects being executed using his personal money except for the emergency projects such as spot improvement of bad roads which are not motorable.
Speaking with Hamza Mohammed , the Special Aid to the MP Mr Solomon Kwame Boamah explained that the roads should be easy for his people, though such activities equally require a huge sum of money.
According to him, the projects may continue after the primaries in February 2024.
After all the toilets, classroom blocks, ICT Centre, Mechanized Boreholes etc that he as MP is spending huge money to execute are the duties of the Central government and the Municipal Assembly, but not the MP.
The little that his MP’S Common Fund can do, he will do it for the people and leave the government and the assembly to do what they think is good for us all.
He streesed that the MP would lobby the government for projects using all the available means, including the floor of Parliament and whatever we get, so be it.
“As I speak, I am confident Bibiani will soon get AstroTurf and Sefwi Bekwai will follow. Gradually we will be getting our share of the national cake. Though he initially thought he could use his own personal money to support the development of the area, but it appears the enemies of progress in the constituency totally dislike that and had since been fighting him because they feel the MP is taking glory for such selfless leadership and that is exposing their wickedness,” he added.
