A man believed to be in his early thirties has been found dead in his room at Pankese in Birim North Municipality of Eastern Region.
The deceased, identified as Kwabena Somuah, was last seen on Sunday after complaining of malaria.
His brother, after not seeing him for three days, went to check on him but got no response after knocking several times.
He then alerted the Assemblyman and members of the Unit Committee, who eventually forced the door open.
NADMO Zonal Coordinator, Osei Louis, who was present at the scene, confirmed that the body was found lying on the floor of his room.
The case was subsequently reported to the Akoase Police, who conveyed the body to the Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital for autopsy.
Reports indicate that the deceased lived alone.
