Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Isaac Amoako has urged Black Stars coach Chris Hughton to scout players beyond the Ghana Premier League.
Hughton after excluding local players from his first call up promised to watch more games in the local scene in order to consider players for future call ups.
The former Premier League manager seems to have fulfilled his promise, having being at some Ghana Premier League match venues in recent weeks.
In an interview, Amoako, a member of Nsoatreman FC technical team entreated Hughton to monitors players in the Division One and other lower-tier leagues in the country.
“So far, he has done well. His commitment in watching the local league will help motivate the players but I will plead with him to watch the lower division leagues too”
“Hughton has got two assistant coaches, so it will be prudent for him to share task so they can monitor players in the Division One and other lower leagues as well” he said.
Ghana will return to action in June as they honour their fifth match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
