The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has shortlisted three top coaches for the vacant Black Stars job.
Following the resignation of Otto Addo as head coach of the Black Stars, the Ghana Football Association has been on a hunt for a new coach.
According to Accra-based Asempa FM, the Ghana FA has shortlisted Hector Cupper, Manchester United assistant coach, Steve McClaren and Chris Hughton for the Black Stars job.
Chris Hughton recently served as the technical advisor to the Black Stars and he seems to be a favourite for the job due to his experience with the team.
Argentine trainer Hector Cupper is being considered for the job due to his experience on the African continent.
He led the Egyptian national team to the final of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Ghana FA is expected to name a substantive coach for the Black Stars by the end of January, with over 60 foreign coaches applying for the top job.
The Black Stars will return to action in March for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
